Being a hostess can be a very interesting and lucrative profession! If you like to socialise and enjoy a party atmosphere then being a hostess could be just the job for you.

Not to be confused with waitressing, hostessing means being the life and soul of the party and entertaining guests and patrons at the night clubs where you work. You are provided with a safe and fun environment to work in exchange for keeping the club patrons entertained and selling them champagne.

Hostesses are attractive, glamourous, sociable and chatty girls who enjoy being the centre of attention.

Sometimes you will work as part of a group, sometimes alone, either way it is up to you to sell champagne to the club guests.

Good hostesses can earn a very good wage through commission and tips but must always abide by the rules of the establishment where they work. You must sign the code of conduct and be prepared for dismissal if you break the rules.

Table / Pole Dancing

Some hostesses also do table or pole dancing, this is your choice and is not usually a manditory requirement to being a hostess. You should always check before going for an interview if you are unsure.

If you want to be a dancer as well you should let the club know at the interview stage so you can audition.

Remember, you are invited to work at the clubs who take you on, you are not their employee.
